On Friday 25th July, the University of Newcastle held a Supplier Excellence Award event. Out of 400 suppliers to the university, the top 25 were invited to attend the occasion.

Olleco beat off some impressive competition to be announced the winners of the ‘Innovation in Food Waste collection’ award.

With our latest donation, we have raised a whopping £16k for Hospitality Action.

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for the Innovation in food waste collection award.

It’s easy to talk about sustainability, what isn't so easy is being able to quantify your achievements. This is why we have chosen to use the Carbon Trust to measure our results for us. The Carbon Trust Triple certification gives us an independent verification and gives you the confidence to know we are actually making the reductions we say we are.

So far we have raised over £12,000 for Hospitality Action. Here is a picture of Olleco handing over a cheque to the charity at their Tower of London event last week.

Since July 2013 we have been operating under the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) accreditation.

Construction of our very own Anaerobic Digestion plant is well and truly underway with the aim to complete the build by the end of this year.
