Olleco proudly announces the opening of its second used cooking oil processing plant in 2025, marking their commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The new facility, located on the Thames estuary, is set to continue to expand the volume that Olleco processes in the UK.
"We are excited to bring this innovative approach to Dagenham and Liverpool" said Ciara O’Keeffe O’Donovan, Olleco Chief Operating Officer. "These new plants underpin our dedication to the energy transitions and ensure our customers’ waste is converted into valuable resources. Our goal is to make a positive impact on both the environment and the local community."
Both the facilities feature cutting-edge technology designed to maximise efficiency and minimise environmental impact. Along with the bespoke Liverpool processing plant newly opened in February, this plant in Dagenham will reduce Olleco's carbon footprint and provide critical infrastructure for the UK’s growing green economy.
"This new facility in Dagenham will play a crucial role in our mission to recycle waste and promote the production of UK biofuels."
The UK has been a leader in decarbonising transport through biofuels and has introduced a new aviation fuel mandate this year, underpinning its strategic net zero objectives. Olleco and ABP will continue to play a critical role in providing feedstocks to support this transition.
