Olleco’s Liverpool site has successfully achieved the ISO 45001:2018 certification from United Kingdom Accreditation Services (UKAS) accredited body, BSI.
Five years ago, Olleco set out on a journey to reduce injuries, illnesses and incidents. With the introduction of many improved working practices and an ethos of continual improvement, we have seen a significant reduction in risk across the business. Achieving ISO 45001:2018 is the next major step on this journey, both as third-party verification of all the systems in place and as a tool to raise standards even higher.
The Liverpool site has been audited against a variety of ISO criteria including legal compliance, risk assessment and reduction, asset management, training and competency, and procedural controls.
This achievement demonstrates that our management and operational systems meet a globally recognised safety standard. It also shows we are committed to continuous improvement of our occupational health and safety management system so that we ensure we protect our employees at work.
The achievement of this certification standard is evidence that Olleco is committed to operating a safe and sustainable business; putting our customers and the environment at the forefront of everything we do.
Joe Kenny, CEO of Olleco, commented on receiving the accreditation:
“We’re delighted to have received this global standard as recognition for our safety journey and our continual strive towards operational excellence. This latest accreditation reinforces our commitment to safety across our business. I would like to thank all our colleagues for making this possible.”
